Frankfurt's Parade of Cultures
Frankfurt's Parade of Cultures aims to promote cultural diversity and quash racism, snaking through the city centre every year in a riot of bright colors, outrageous costumes, music and dancing.
The vibrant procession normally begins at midday. A stage hosts performers from around the world and there's also a special programme of events for kids. For the clubbers, meanwhile, many of the city's venues put on special nights with the theme of international music and dance.

Yunnan, China
Yunnan, literally translates into "the area south of the clouds", is a place rich in social heritage and natural beauty. It is the most culturally diversified region in China, with about 40 of the 56 ethnic groups in China are represented in this southern province, where huge mountain ranges kept the local traditions intact and distinct. It also forms the backdrop in James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon".
